Post 2.5 – GLOWBOX Follow Up

Date: 06 Feb 2026

I knew that reference to an airbase incident was familiar. I was looking through the boxes again for anything else on GLOWBOX, and I found an incident report talking about some kind of transport container failure which dropped a number of these GLOWBOX units near RAF Woodbridge. That name might be familiar if you’ve ever heard of the Rendlesham Forest incident.

In December 1980, a number of military personell at the joint RAF/USAF base reported seeing strange lights falling from the sky and seeing those same strange lights in the forest. It looks like those lights were GLOWBOX units. Apparently they were being transported, apparently by plane, when there was some kind of failure in the storage system and the fell out. That’s what those airmen saw.

There’s witness accounts and details of the recovery operation and everything in there. It all totally tallies up with everything else I’ve read about this incident.

I also managed to get some video footage of the GLOWBOX unit that was in the box. I took this last week, and I’ve since moved the unit out of my house. It kept lighting up by itself and it just made me feel uneasy and wrong. So I’ve moved it somewhere else. Somewhere safe, just away from me.

Thankfully that’s the only physical artefact I’ve found so far. I’m hoping I won’t stumble upon any more. More soon.
